마을의 중심에서 전하는 따뜻한 초대
A Beacon of Welcome
우간다 나카송골라 지역에 세워진 리빙스톤 교회는 600명의 성도들이 함께 기쁨을 나누는 소중한 예배 공간입니다. 우리는 이 교회가 단순히 우리만의 공간이 되지 않기를 바랐습니다. 주변의 종교적 환경 속에서 조금은 소외되었던 현지 교회들의 모습을 보며, 누구나 쉽게 찾아올 수 있도록 마을의 가장 활기찬 대로변에 자리를 잡았습니다. 시각적으로 돋보이는 현대적인 디자인은 지역 주민들에게 신선한 인사를 건네며, 자연스럽게 크리스천 문화를 마주할 수 있는 '열린 랜드마크'가 되어줍니다.
Located in Nakasongola, Uganda, Livingstone Church is a sanctuary designed for a congregation of 600 and the heart of the local community. Recognizing that many local churches are often tucked away in remote areas, we intentionally positioned this modern landmark along the main road. Through its striking, contemporary design, the church serves as an inviting presence, offering a natural and warm introduction to Christian culture for every resident and passerby.

예배와 교육, 삶을 잇는 마음
Connecting Faith and Learning
우리의 진심은 예배당이라는 건물 안에만 머물지 않습니다. 도로 건너편에 자리한 “우간다 리빙스톤 학교”와 손을 맞잡고, 아이들의 배움과 성도들의 교제가 하나로 이어질 수 있도록 설계했습니다. 예배를 지원하는 공간 외에도 학교와 협력한 다목적 교제 공간을 마련하여, 신앙 공동체와 교육 현장이 유기적으로 숨 쉬는 통합적 문화 단지를 완성하고자 노력했습니다.
Our design philosophy transcends the walls of the sanctuary. We envisioned a space where spiritual life and education walk hand-in-hand. By creating a seamless connection with the Uganda Livingstone School located directly across the street, we integrated multipurpose fellowship areas into the plan. This synergy creates a holistic environment where the joy of worship and the growth of education foster a vibrant, unified community.

A Foundation for Growing Together
리빙스톤 교회는 나카송골라의 일상 속에 복음의 온기를 전하는 통로가 되기를 꿈꿉니다. 이곳에서 아이들은 미래를 꿈꾸고, 주민들은 서로의 삶을 나누며, 성도들은 깊은 영성을 회복할 것입니다. 예배와 교육, 그리고 삶이 어우러진 이 공간이 나카송골라를 밝히는 희망의 빛이자, 지역 사회와 함께 성장하는 든든한 밑거름이 되기를 소망합니다.
Livingstone Church aspires to be a vessel of hope that illuminates the daily lives of the people in Nakasongola. We dream of a place where children nurture their dreams, neighbors find rest, and faith becomes a shared journey. It is our vision that this integrated center will serve as a cornerstone for both spiritual and social transformation, growing alongside the community for generations to come.
